Between matter & meaning

01 — Our Story

At its heart is a simple idea:

CREATION ALLOWS US TO BEGIN AGAIN.

The Reincarnation Factory is an independent foundation for art, music and cultural projects.

Founded by Xavier Van Eeckhoutte and Leen Defoer in memory of Aero(nwen) Van Eeckhoutte, TRF initiates and supports projects across visual art, music and other creative disciplines. It brings artists and collaborators together, creates opportunities for new work, and develops projects that can travel beyond conventional boundaries.

Public-benefit purpose

TRF advances, supports and opens up art, culture and creativity in their broadest sense.

The foundation supports makers financially, organisationally and logistically; advances creation, research and experiment; and assists with production, publication, presentation, distribution and international exchange. It may organise exhibitions, concerts, residencies and other cultural initiatives, manage and restore heritage and artworks, manage real estate, and enable project funding, donations and partnerships.

Four distinct worlds, connected by one idea: art can transform what appears fixed.

Literature · Aero(nwen)

The Book of A.

A book written posthumously by Aero(nwen). More than an autobiography and more than an account of the events surrounding her decision to step out of life, The Book of A. is a spiritual journey into a world of magical knowledge and hidden meanings. It explores events we fail to understand because we do not truly know what life is.

The Artist’s Universe

The photo exhibition and the album share more than a title. Photography, music and text approach the same existential, metaphysical and social questions. The vinyl is therefore not exhibition merchandise, but an autonomous art object within the same universe.

03 — The Daedalus Project

Marfa · Westward · West Coast

A journey outward. A journey inward.

A three-year international art pilgrimage connecting artists across borders and continents. The physical journey is also a spiritual journey with the power to transform each participant. Daedalus is carried by Transformism: it rejects suffering as an engine of progress and explores how art, insight and connection can help create a reality that reduces suffering.

I

Marfa

The source

Six artists gather in the Texas desert. Marfa becomes laboratory, stage and point of departure.

II

Westward

The journey

The project travels via Las Vegas to a secret location between San Francisco and Los Angeles. American artists join and the road becomes a living artwork.

III

West Coast

The tower

Artists from across the world build the Tower of Transformation together: structure, ritual and beacon for change.

04 — Transformism

Transformism

Change through imagination.

Transformism is an artistic and philosophical framework developed by Reinout Zeeger. It begins with the idea that there may be a design flaw in an evolution that appears to need suffering in order to set change in motion. Without denying pain or loss, Transformism asks whether insight, imagination, curiosity and connection can also become sources of growth. It is not a doctrine, but an open question and an invitation to creative enquiry.

06 — Partnerships

Shared values · meaningful collaboration

Ideas grow through the people who make them possible.

TRF welcomes conversations with companies, organisations and private patrons who believe in the value of art, culture and independent thinking. A partnership may support a specific production, exhibition or journey, or develop into a long-term cultural collaboration. Each form of support is shaped around shared values, clear commitments and meaningful visibility.
